The Cloudy South story began in Western Australia (WA) in 1929 when our family first began farming amongst towering eucalypt forests nourished by pristine rainfall and clean, fertile soils. Over the years Newton Orchards has grown to become a trusted supplier of premium quality fruit both to West Australians and markets across the globe.  However, growing perfect apples is no longer our only job: we also have to ensure our not-so-perfect looking(but still delicious) fruit is not wasted. The creation of Cloudy South juice in 2019 aimed to reduce food waste and to help create a more sustainable growing future for WA orchards.  Traditionally the returns to farmers on “juice grade” produce have been very poor, and prevent a lot of important reinvestment into their farms. It’s tougher work than ever being a farmer these days, and every last drop counts when we’re trying to ensure there are another generation of young farmers to keep on growing into the future. 

Cloudy South supports the future of family farms who grow fruit with care for the environment and for the people who work for them, not like the huge corporations that make “juice” from mixing water with cheap fruit concentrate sourced from completely unknown growing areas and conditions. Cloudy South juice is 100% natural, crushed from delicious apples grown in one of the world’s most pristine and isolated food bowl regions, WA’s Southern Forests. Cloudy South apple, carrot and ginger adds an antioxidant boost from WA carrots and zesty Australian ginger.
